Congress Women’s Marathon: Stampede like situation occurred in marathon; many girls injured

Just ahead of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, an attempt was made by Congress to reach out to the women section through the women’s marathon.

The Congress party has put the lives of girls in danger to promote its slogan ‘Ladki hoon lad sakti hoon‘. In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, an unfortunate stampede occurred in the marathon organized by Congress. The shoes of the girls were also scattered on the road. The girl students who were injured in this stampede have been taken to the hospital.

Congress leader and former Bareilly Mayor Supriya Aaron, who organized the event, went on to say, that there is nothing to worry about. “Thousands also went to Vaishno Devi. What about that? Look, it’s a very human thing. These are schoolgirls and they only want to come out for a while. But if someone feels bad for some reason, then I want to apologize on behalf of Congress.”

The crowd in the marathon was seen without masks amid rising COVID-19 cases. As they began the run, some of the women in front slipped off and fell to the ground, triggering a brief scare as more crowd from behind pushed the crowd ahead.
