ED asks for 15-day judicial custody due to Arvind Kejriwal’s ‘noncooperative attitude’

Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court on 1 April, has extended Aam Admi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal’s judicial custody till April 15 in the excise policy-linked money laundering case.

During the hearing, Enforcement Directorate (ED) said that Arvind Kejriwal is “totally uncooperative” and sought 15-day judicial custody of CM Kejriwal.

The investigative team filed a remand request claiming that they needed more time to question Delhi CM to confront him with other individuals. The ED informed the court that “statements of some AAP Goa candidates are being recorded.”

The ED arrested AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on 21 March after not responding to nine summons from the ED in connection with the Delhi liquor policy money laundering case.
