ED summons K Kavitha, BRS MLC and daughter of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao in Delhi liquor scam
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s daughter K Kavitha in connection with a money laundering case linked to alleged irregularities in the Delhi excise policy scam. Kavitha BRS party MLC has been asked to depose on March 9 before the federal agency in the national capital Delhi.
Kavitha (44) is also one of the representatives of the South Group which allegedly paid kickbacks of Rs.100 crore to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders.
According to a source, she might be confronted with the Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Pillai –also from the South Group — who was arrested on Tuesday.
“The South Group was represented by Abhishek Boinpally, Arun Pillai, and Buchi Babu. Boinpalli facilitated the transfer of Rs.100 crore kickback in connivance and conspiracy with Nair and his associate Dinesh Arora. ” We will have to confront Pillai with Kavitha,” the source said.
Kavitha had said she would be in Delhi for holding a one-day hunger strike at the Jantar Mantar on March 10 to seek the introduction of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the upcoming session of Parliament.
Meanwhile, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was also grilled for hours by the central agency in connection with the alleged kickbacks of Rs.100 crore which the AAP party/ leaders received through the hawala channel from the South Group.
Kavitha will be confronted with statements from Sisodia.
The BR’s leader has been questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in this case earlier.

I wonder this is all some kind of tamasha – especially after seeing how BJP is defending their MLA who was caught red handed with >8crores of bribes, I tend to believe that this is all election gimmick by BJP? Their only goal is to win the election. Very sad indeed.
