The report claimed Trump questioned Netanyahu’s handling of the situation and voiced frustration over what he viewed as unnecessary escalation. In a post on Truth Social, the US President described his discussion with Netanyahu as “very productive” and stated that Israel had agreed not to send troops into Beirut and had recalled forces that were already moving towards the Lebanese capital.

Trump also claimed that through intermediaries he had held constructive discussions with Hezbollah representatives and that both sides had agreed to halt hostilities.

“I had a very productive call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu,” Trump wrote, adding that efforts were underway to prevent further military escalation.

Diplomatic efforts continue

The contrasting accounts highlight the delicate and rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East, where military operations, ceasefire efforts and diplomatic negotiations remain closely intertwined.
