    Sudden blast on LoC patrol leaves four Army personnel injured

    Four Indian Army personnel, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were injured on Tuesday after an accidental grenade explosion during a routine patrol near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir‘s Rajouri district.

    The incident occurred in the Nowshera sector, where troops of the Kumaon Regiment were carrying out standard surveillance and security duties along the sensitive border region.

    According to reports, a Multi Mode Grenade accidentally detonated while the patrol was moving through a forward area, injuring one JCO and three jawans.

    Injured personnel evacuated

    Following the explosion, fellow soldiers immediately launched a rescue response and evacuated the injured personnel from the site.

    The four soldiers were shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Their condition is being monitored, officials said.

    Sources said the blast occurred during a routine patrol operation along the LoC. Further details regarding the circumstances leading to the accidental explosion are awaited.
