How Gangsters became the ruling class

How Orwell predicted the future of the world

In the novel 1984, there are three powers: Oceania, Eurasia, and East Asia. George Orwell was prescient that he defined East Asia as roughly today’s China.

These three powers fight for the control of the area between Morocco and Malaysia which is not under any of them permanently. So why do they fight for this area? Because from this area comes the entire slave labour to work in the three power blocks!

And isn’t this true?

Of course, Eurasia is still EU (European Union) and Russia separately, and Oceania is not a country but a block. But doesn’t the area between Morocco and Malaysia indeed supply the coolies to the rest of the world?

Politicians force suicides of women they exploit, impregnate them, murder them, their illegitimate children file for paternity tests and win, and we still vote for those politicians.

How did this come about? Are the people in the region between Morocco and Malaysia genetically inferior?

Actually, this is not so. In this area also lies Bharat, the land of geniuses. So there is nothing genetically inferior here.

It is something else. 1400 years ago, in Araby, there rose a man who said: “Loot as you please but give me 20% of the loot. Sex-enslave women as you please, but give 20% of the women looted to me. And if you do both these things, you can kill as you please.” His successors, called Caliphs, continued the system. give 20% of the loot including women to the Caliph, and loot and kill as you please.

And the result was that the ruling class became looters, rapists, and murderers. Or, conversely, looters, rapists, murderers became the ruling class. The disease has rubbed also on those also who do not exactly follow the originator of the Araby.

This is the reason that the entire region from Morocco to Malaysia is always steeped in blood, is wretchedly poor, most power transfers take place through murders, and power transfers are followed by more murders. Even where the governments change through elections, one group of gangsters is replaced by another group of gangsters.

And we the mango people have also internalised the morality of loot. We see abjectly poor families becoming rich to thousands of crores of rupees within five years of power, but we still continue to reelect them. We see journalists working in loss-making media houses but themselves sitting on hundreds of crores of rupees and we still trust them, we see professors running NGOs with hundreds of crores in money, and we look up to them. Politicians openly keep concubines and we still vote for them. Politicians force suicides of women they exploit, impregnate them, murder them, their illegitimate children file for paternity tests and win, and we still vote for those politicians.

And we remain wretchedly poor as a direct result, living like cockroaches, dying like cockroaches, and always trying to go and become a coolie in Oceania. What else happens, and can happen, to those who choose to be ruled by the gangsters?

  • It is true that the region between Morocco and Malaysia supplies labour to the world. People from Asean countries used to be shipped to US. Many of them died on the way because they were weak and nearly 70% of them died. About 50% of Indian labour used to die on way. African slaves were more healthy and survived. This is the reason why there are more African Americans in US.
