Indian army foils BAT strike by Pakistan army in Keran sector

Tensions between India and Pakistan are set to escalate further along the line of control after alert Indian troops neutralized at least 5-7 Pakistan army regulars/terrorists while foiling an attack launched by the Border Action Team of Pakistan army in Keran sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Defence,” a Border action team of Pakistan attacked one of the forward posts in the Keran sector. The attack was foiled resulting in neutralizing of 5 to 7 Pakistan army regulars/terrorists in last 36 hours”. Due to heavy exchange of firing in the forward area, the dead bodies of heavily armed infiltrators could not be retrieved by the Indian army.

However, to expose Pakistan army and its nefarious designs Indian army Saturday evening released pictures of dead bodies of infiltrators lying on the line of control.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had condemned the blatant use of cluster ammunition by the Indian army while targeting civilian pockets across the line of control. In return, India had accused Pakistan of aiding terrorists and pushing them inside Indian boundaries to launch terror strikes.

Meanwhile, in the Jammu region, Pakistan army also initiated ‘unprovoked‘ firing along the line of control in Balakote area of Mendhar in Poonch late Saturday evening.

Last week, Pakistan army had killed one 12 day old toddlers in intense shelling on the civilian pockets in Shahpur area of Poonch.

According to the Ministry of Defence spokesman, “heavy mortar shelling was reported in the area late Saturday evening around 8.15 p.m In response, Indian army retaliated strongly and effectively“.

Defense spokesman in Srinagar said, “Pakistan army made several attempts to disturb peace in Kashmir valley by targeting Amarnath yatra in last 36 hours.

On Saturday, a joint team of security forces eliminated four Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists in two separate encounters in Sopore and Shopian.

According to the police spokesman, “one of the top commanders of Jaish-e- Mohammad, identified as Zeenat-ul-Islam Naikoo was eliminated in the two-day long operation in Pandushan village of Shopian”. The second terrorist killed in the operation was identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat.

According to police, Naikoo played the role of a local anchor to the JeM foreign terrorists. He was involved in terror incidents of cop killing and grenade lobbing on police station Shopian and Gagren camp.

In Sopore encounter, two JeM terrorists were eliminated by the security forces. According to police, the slain terrorist was identified as Umer Shahbaz Wani of Bandipora. He had joined JeM terror outfit in June 2019.

  1. This socialist government of Modi is killing Indian economy and this Kashmir tension is a red herring devised by Modi to divert attention from Economy, which going south too fast. Hindus are unfortunate to bear the brunt of socialist in the guise of Hindu Nationalist.
