ED raids houses of Qazi Yasir, and Zaffar Bhat in a case linked to the ‘selling’ of MBBS seats to Kashmiri students
On Thursday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at the premises belonging to two separatist leaders — Hurriyat Conference’s Qazi Yasir, and J&K Salvation Movement chairman Zaffar Bhat in connection with a Prevention of Money Laundering case (PMLA).
The case is related to the MBBS seats allotment racket to Jammu and Kashmir residents in different Pakistan colleges.
According to information, the ED team and local police conducted raids this morning at the house of Mohammad Akbar Bhat alias Zaffar Bhat in the Bagh-e-Mehtab area.
Another team of ED raided the house of Hurriyat leader Qazi Yasir in Anantnag‘s Qazi Mohalla.
Sources say that ED officials started raids at nine places, including three in Srinagar, two in Anantnag, and four other locations in Baramulla, Kupwara, and Pulwama
