Kashmiri Hindu journalist Aditya Raj Kaul gets threat mail from ISIS Kashmir

After Gautam Gambhir got a threat from ISIS Kashmir, journalist Aditya Raj Kaul gets a life-threatening mail again in a week.

The mail that Kaul received from the ISIS Kashmir says, “Do anything but you are on our hit list, you can’t hide in Delhi for long.” The ISIS in a separate image says, “We accept the responsibility for Pathankot blast. We will also target politicians and journalists in upcoming elections in Kashmir.”

In the screenshots attached by Aditya Raj Kaul, it can be clearly seen that he is being threatened with death. In one screenshot, ISIS Kashmir tells him that he is their next target.

Aditya Raj Kaul took it to Twitter saying, “At midnight I received a fresh email from ‘ISIS Kashmir’ email account taking responsibility for Pathankot blast outside the Indian Army camp and again issuing threat against me. I’ve shared details with Police and agencies. No doubt this is from Pakistan.

He further tweeted, “Sadly because I am not a Member of Parliament or a politician, this threat doesn’t get the same attention as Gautam Gambhir. The police are yet to file FIR in my case even after 5 days of cowardly threats. Not sure if they are waiting for me to get attacked.

In the earlier threat mail, the ISIS Kashmir had written, “Janab Aditya, kuch jyada hai aap ne hamare against likh liya hai, ab aap ko hum kuch din baad lambi yaatra karane waley hai.. Aao kabhi Srinagar Regards: Daesh J&K”

Kaul said that the FIR has not been lodged in the matter despite his complaint.

Aditya Raj Kaul has been vocal against separatism and terrorism in Kashmir, which perhaps earned him the hatred of Islamic extremists. There have also been a series of targeted killings of civilians in Kashmir recently which makes the threats even more concerning.

Earlier, BJP MP Gautam Gambhir has also received threats from ISIS Kashmir. The threat to him said, “We’re going to kill you and you’re family.” Subsequently, security has been increased outside his residence.
