
Pyrrhic victory for Mehbooba as takes the only path available for her.
[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]A[/dropcap] BJP-PDP joint coordination committee is anticipated to meet prior to both leaders meet Governor N.N. Vohra jointly to stake claim to power in the state that has been without an elected government for the last nearly three months. The two parties were planned to satisfy the governor individually on Friday. But the meetings did not happen.
Leaders of the BJP and PDP “will have a meeting between ourselves before going to satisfy the governor”, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav told newsmen here. “When they go to meet the governor is going to be decided.”
After-party legislators satisfied here to elect their leader, Ram Madhav, who’s also the Kashmir issues in cost of BJP, was speaking.
“The BJP legislature party has re elected Nirmal Singh as its leader and nominated him for the deputy chief minister’s post in the brand new coalition government,” BJP state president Sat Pal Sharma stated.
[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]S[/dropcap]harma also stated the BJP had made a decision to expand support to Mehbooba to head the PDP-BJP government in the state. “We have to discuss particular issues before both people see the governor jointly to stake claim.”
He stated that it may take “two-three days” before the government is formed. If and when the swearing-in occurs, Mehbooba Mufti will probably function as very first woman chief minister of Kashmir and Jammu.
The state has been since January 8 under Governor’s Rule.
In Jammu, Jitendra Singh, the minister of state in the Prime Minister’s Office, also attended the celebration meeting besides the BJP legislators and Ram Madhav.
Knowledgeable sources said those at the assembly were apprised by Ram Madhav about the current developments, including the Tuesday meeting in New Delhi between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti.
“The BJP re-iterated that no clean conditions (by PDP) was accepted and also the alliance with all the PDP will continue on the foundation of the agenda of alliance signed (earlier) by both parties,” a BJP source told IANS.
Jitendra Singh represents the Kathua-Udhampur Lok Sabha seat for the BJP.
