Dear Indian people,
China or Pakistan? Bigger, not in terms of land mass but in terms of threat! China, most of you would say! After all, they have a bigger army, bigger arsenal of weapons (both nuclear and conventional), so it stands to reason China is the bigger enemy, right? Wrong!! Let me explain why…
- While the economy of China is WAY bigger than another Asian country, India, giving it resources that would definitely benefit the CCP, the CCP is but one entity. When one talks about China, one refers to the economy (obviously) but also refers to the PLA (People’s Liberation Army, not to be mistaken for Prefer Lunch Anywhere-else, although, not being a professional army, they probably do want to be somewhere else. More about that some other time). This army is a “volunteer ” army (read as forced to volunteer).
- Yes, the Chinese have money, lots of it! However, they have not been the wisest when it comes to spending. Hear me out before you object! They spent quite a bit of money on creating an environment that, supposedly, was customer-friendly! In fact, they were SO customer friendly, that people (within China) used to go back to buy the same appliances they had bought not more than a few months ago!! The iPhones that were being built in China were, quite often, replicated by Chinese “entrepreneurs” for the local market, obviously at cheaper prices, but also with debatable quality! They also spent a lot of money on replicating the American defense technologies like the fighter jets F-16, which they called the J-15 and the J-35 (in both cases, the J probably standing for Junk). In their defense, they did get buyers for the jets (read as SUCKERS) like good ole Pakistan !!
Now, getting to Pakistan, the country is like a hemorrhoid that doesn’t go away! Not because there is no cure, but it has SO MANY offspring that the only way to rid oneself of this is to go for surgery! My question to the Pakistani defense analysts (YES, there are defense analysts in that country like Kamar Cheema and Zaid Hameed, known as Lal Topi) who claim there are non-state actors (never understood this reference but hey!) who are involved in “mujahideen” activities. If Pakistan’s contention is that these are non-state actors acting without the tacit approval of the state, then the state should let these people run their country’s defense! The “world’s best army” has failed to accomplish anything defensively! In fact, if reports are to be believed (and there is no valid reason NOT TO), the Pakistani Army has built a good business within the country (diapers, baby food, younameittheymakeit)!!
If the non-state actors are so powerful that even the Generals and the Pakistani ISI (Inter Services Intelligence, not to be even remotely mistaken for Insanely Secretive Individuals) attend their funerals, then they should submit to these “non-state actors”!! Since there are more than 10 such groups of “non-state actors “, it stands to reason this perpetual “hemorrhoid” would be the greatest threat, only because one could be caught in embarrassing situations! Think about it!! Unless one has a surgeon who could get rid of all the offshoots, the hemorrhoid would persist! When one really knows nothing about the extent of these hemorrhoids, it is difficult to cure oneself of this!!
Now, going back to the “defense analysts “ from that country, another question comes to mind. This question would definitely need some kind of answer! Balochistan was captured by Pakistan immediately after August 1947. You gentlemen (I called you gentlemen as my parents gave me that much education to refer to people, regardless of their actual worth, as gentlemen) call the Baloch freedom fighters as terrorists, but call the Kashmiri terrorists as Mujahids (freedom fighters)! तुम्हारा कुत्ता टामी और हमार कुत्ता कुत्ता), (loosely translated, your dog has a name Tommy but my dog is dog)!! If one refers to Kashmir terrorists as Freedom Fighters, so are the Baloch fighters!! When it affects Pakistan, they become terrorists, but not when it affects neighbors!! Something ain’t right with that logic, you know what I’m sayin’??
Final question, I promise, to these “analysts”!! What exactly does a “defense analyst “ do, apart from talking about the various “accomplishments“ of the business enterprise, you call the Pakistani Army?
Take your time! Ain’t no hurry!! I am enjoying my time at the dentist, getting some root canals!! Beats going to the proctologist!!
