Swagath Restaurant in Delhi’s Defence Colony had a surprise guest — Rahul Gandhi. He was there with a group of 15-20 people, including senior Supreme Court lawyer and Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi. Insiders said Rahul hosted a lunch for Singhvi and his team who had appeared for him in the defamation case. Also present were lawyer R S Cheema and Rahul’s aide Kanishka Singh. Delhi Police deployment was on a high scale. Visitors to the Hotel were cursing the deployment of the dog squad for the safety of the VVIP.

Karnataka Minister’s U-Turn on mohalla clinics

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has now alleged that Karnataka minister Dinesh Gundu Rao had initially praised the Delhi government’s mohalla clinics in the presence of media persons but later changed his stand after receiving a phone call and leaving on the pretext of a meeting.

Call Oppn bloc ‘Ghamandia not I.N.D.I.A’: Modi tells NDA MPs

You must refer to the newly-minted alliance of 26 opposition parties as “Ghamandia” or arrogant, not I.N.D.I.A, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told a group of NDA MPs. Modi also asked them not to speak out of turn or create unnecessary controversies. “Many times I see some people give knowledge even on Chandrayaan or things they have no knowledge about just because there is a mic in front of them. Mani Shanker Aiyer reacted

Mani Shanker Aiyer former Minister for Panchayat Raj is not keeping well, but he reacted to the criticism of PM Modi on his subject. However, Stepping up his attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Congress during its rule never made concrete efforts to strengthen the Panchayati Raj Institutions. During the Congress rule, concrete efforts were never made to strengthen the Panchayati Raj Institutions. Most of the action was limited in figures and on paper only,” Modi said while addressing the Kshetriya Panchayati Raj Parishad in Haryana via video conferencing.

Union MoS health SPS Baghel pledges organs donation

In an unprecedented move, Union MoS health SPS Baghel has pledged his organs to the needy after his death. He made the donation last week after he was moved by the plight of families that needed to wait for years to secure organs for their loved ones. Alliance talks

There is speculation that talks between RLD and BJP hit a roadblock as the two parties haggle over a seat-sharing agreement ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. While Jayant Chaudhary insists on being allocated seven seats in the forthcoming general elections, the BJP is understood to have offered only two seats, Baghpat and Mathura, to RLD. The RLD is considered a strong force in the Jat-dominated western Uttar Pradesh, and the BJP hopes to secure an alliance to ensure victory in the region.

Mandi politics

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was spotted in Delhi’s Azadpur Mandi this week. The senior leader was in the wholesale vegetable market to raise awareness regarding the prices of tomatoes. The former Congress chief had indulged in similar antics in Himachal Pradesh ahead of Assembly polls there. However, since his visit, videos of Himachal apple farmers in distress have been seen on social media, giving ammunition to the BJP.
