J P Nadda to lead BJP as chief until Feb 2025: Second extended

As the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could not find a new President, it is expected to continue with the sitting President J P Nadda till February 2025. Union Minister J P Nadda is already overburdened with heavy portfolios – Health, Chemicals, Fertilizers and Pharmaceuticals and is also BJP’s floor leader in Rajya Sabha. Nadda’s extended tenure ended on June 30 and BJP is silent on making official about his continuation.

After becoming Union Minister in charge of many heavy portfolios, J P Nadda is hardly seen in BJP’s headquarters. His tenure which ended in mid 2023 was given an extension in February 2024, up to June 30, citing Lok Sabha elections. The party made this extension after BJP leader Subramanian Swamy cautioned that the continuation of Nadda is against the party’s constitution and warned the leadership of going to courts. Swamy said BJP should adhere to its constitution as a registered political party.[1]

Many BJP leaders feel that the parent organization RSS wanted to have a say or control in the selection of the new President of the BJP. From 2014, the BJP’s President was ultimately the choice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and RSS this time wanted to put an end to this hegemony of Modi and Amit Shah in controlling BJP’s affairs. It is widely known that Modi and Shah wanted their men Vinod Tawde or Sunil Bansal as the party’s new President. Former Minister Smriti Irani’s name is also propped up for the post citing giving a chance to a first woman President.

Many in Sangh Parivar say this time RSS wants their person for the top of BJP. RSS is totally unhappy over the BJP’s selection of candidates in Lok Sabha elections and relations got spoiled over J P Nadda’s comment that now BJP is capable and not needed RSS backing. RSS wanted popular leaders like Rajnath Singh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, or Nitin Gadkari as BJP President and this suggestion has not gone well with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has not yet met RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat after the Lok Sabha election results.

Due to these hurdles, overloaded Union Minister J P Nadda is expected to continue during the October-November scheduled Assembly elections to Maharashtra, Haryana, and Jharkhand and the January 2025 scheduled election to the Delhi Assembly. Many party leaders feel, that the BJP under the guidance of RSS is expected to search for a new President only by February 2025.

  1. RSS should be given the task of managing the affairs of BJP.

Modi-Shah duo is slowly getting SICKULAR.

Conversion of Hindus to Christianity & Islam is continuing at an alarming rate but the Central Govt headed by Modi seems utterly helpless in containing this trend.

International Yoga Day is celebrated with much fanfare but Indian Government is not in a position to introduce Yoga, Suryanamaskar in our Country.

We need a hardcore Hindutva Leader to convert this sickular Nation into a Hindutva Nation.
