Partywise, genderwise, statewise, age group wise analysis

[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]A[/dropcap]ttached herewith is an analysis of the performance of our Lok Sabha Members upto the end of Part I one of Budget Session 2017. The data relates to the period from 1st June 2014 to 9th February 2017. The second part of Budget Session starts on 9th March 2017. Hence, we are releasing this analysis now so that the Members may improve their performance further.

In the age group analysis, the members in the age group of 45 to 64 are doing well, closely followed by youngsters. This age group is well experienced and quite competent in Parliamentary affairs.

Sansad Ratna Team has analysed the performance state-wise, party-wise, gender-wise and agegroup-wise. Please go through the interesting facts.

Shiv Sena and NCP have done extremely well in the Lok Sabha, though they have small numbers of MPs. Trinamool Congress has shown poor performance. Among the big states, Maharashtra and Kerala are doing well, while West Bengal is performing badly.

Right from the beginning, Maharashtra has been showing consistent performance in the House. During Sansad Ratna Awards, every year, Maharashtra contingent used to be large, like the Chinese bagging Olympic medals.

In the gender-wise analysis, women are competing very well with their male colleagues, though they have only 61 Members.

In the age group analysis, the members in the age group of 45 to 64 are doing well, closely followed by youngsters. This age group is well experienced and quite competent in Parliamentary affairs.

This analysis is based on the three performance parameters (1) Original initiated debates (2) Introduction of Private Members Bills and (3) Raising Questions.

As already announced, Sansad Ratna Awards 2017 is scheduled on 27th May 2017 at IIT Madras. Awardees will be selected by a Committee of Jury, based on the performance till the end of Budget Session 2017.
