As poll campaigning ends, PM Modi reaches Kanyakumari for 2-day meditation session
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Kanyakumari, where he will meditate at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial from this evening to Saturday evening.
He will be at Vivekananda Rock Memorial for three days from May 30 to June 1 and will meditate for 45 hours at the meditation hall of the Rock Memorial.
He offered prayers at the Kanyakumari Devi temple.
He will also pay his respects before the statue of Tamil cultural icon and saint, Thiruvalluvar.
The Prime Minister will meditate at the Dhyan Mandapam, the same spot where Swami Vivekananda had meditated in 1892 to get a clear vision of the future of India.
Over 2,000 police personnel have been posted around the memorial to ensure the PM’s security, and the Coast Guard and the Navy will also maintain vigil.
In 2019, PM Modi had undertaken a spiritual sojourn to Kedarnath – where he had meditated in a cave.
