RVS Mani recalls what happened between Surgical strike and death of counterfeiter Khanani in Karachi

RVS Mani says that the problem of counterfeit currency has been around since 2004 and despite a slight difference in the thickness of India and Pak notes, the counterfeit rupee notes have never been eliminated. When Demo happened, a lot of fake currency became worthless and may have caused Khanani's death.

  1. It’s not ‘gcm’, but, ‘gsm’. ‘GSM’ stands for ‘Grams per Square Meter’. This is used as a measure to express the thickness of paper. More the ‘gsm’, thickness is greater.
