[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]D[/dropcap]omestic e-commerce marketplace Snapdeal on Monday said that it has seen a ten fold growth in order volumes under its Monday Home sale which includes popular categories like home decor, furniture and furnishing. According to the company, 72 products per minute were ordered from Tier 2-3 cities and LED lighting and gardening tools were the most popular categories in metros.
“The Monday Home Sale is witnessing a tremendous response from all across the country. With more than 1 million unique products under the home category, we are offering something for everyone’s taste and budget,” said Snapdeal vice president, category management, Rahul Taneja.
“The growth in sales volumes is consistent with an overall ten fold increase in volumes. We will continue to deliver the best after sales experience to our customers,” he added.
Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune emerged as the top shopping cities. The company had last week said that it had shipped nearly five million orders before Diwali.
