‘The Kashmir Files’ joins 100 crore club

Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ has hit the 100 crore club within just 7 days of its release. The film is trending in India and globally and is winning larger appreciation from viewers and critics.

Amid the film doing rounds in India as well globally, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the director of ‘The Kashmir Files’, has been granted Y-category security. The CRPF security will accompany him across India. Under the Y-category security, Agnihotri will be provided with a security cover of eight officers, which is likely to have two commandos and police personnel.

‘The Kashmir Files’ depicts true events about the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus in Kashmir and how they were forced to leave their homes due to the insurgency in the 1990s.

The Kashmir Files has been made tax-free in states like Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh.

According to box office analyst Taran Adarsh, the film continues to create “HAVOC” and “SMASHES” myths and “DEMOLISHES” box office records. He added that the movie’s day-wise numbers are an “EYE OPENER” and “CASE STUDY”.

Adarsh also tweeted, “This is a MIRACULOUS TREND… #TheKashmirFiles #India screen count… Day 1: 630+ screens Day 8 [Week 2]: 4000 screens and counting. IF THIS IS NOT MIND-BLOWING, WHAT IS?”

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film has been produced by Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi, and Vivek Agnihotri under the Zee Studios, IAmBuddha, and Abhishek Agarwal Arts banners.

This film stars actors like Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Atul Srivastava, Puneet Issar, Mrinal Kulkarni, and Prakash Belawadi in pivotal roles.

    Though just a low budget movie, this could be a turning point in India’s history!

    Hope Kashmiri Pandits and others affected in the holocaust get justice at long last, not just in the form of punishment for the perpetrators but also meaningful succour to the victims.
