The German auto major is in a spot with the US authorities finding Volkswagen cheated emission control norms with the help of a software installed in its light duty diesel vehicles sold between 2008 and 2015.

According to the statement, Volkswagen Group India representatives on Thursday updated the officials at the union heavy industries ministry and the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) on the evaluations so far on the ongoing emissions issue with reference to India.
