Jagdish Maddi a student from Telangana who came to the USA to pursue masters degree shared the gruesome experiences he faced during the Independence Day celebrations at the office of Consulate General of India, SanFrancisco.
In spite of being a weekday, several Indians gathered at the office of Consulate General of India to celebrate the Independence Day, all their happiness turned into horror when a group of hooligans started attacking them physically. This group of separatists who came to the office of Consulate General to protest turned very violent and started using abusive language at the Indians for no reason and started snatching the national flags and placards.
This group of people who claim to be Khalistan supporters were surprisingly distributing pamphlets about recent Indian governments repealing of Article 370 with content similar to the rhetoric of Pakistan.
One of the separatists rushed towards the group of Indians who were there to celebrate Independence Day, snatched the national flag and started stepping on it as a mark of desecration to offend the Indians. According to reports, a staff member from the office of Consulate general also got attacked physically by these separatists. Once the flag hoisting celebrations were done when people who were there to celebrate the Independence Day were going back this group of separatists terrorized them by physically attacking them.
This group of people who claim to be Khalistan supporters were surprisingly distributing pamphlets about recent Indian governments repealing of Article 370 with content similar to the rhetoric of Pakistan. The American Indian Community seeks immediate attention of law enforcement agencies in the Bay Area to take required actions to ensure that, the safety and security of the Indian community are not at stake due to these hooligans.
