14 IPS officers transferred in a major administrative reshuffle in UP

In a major administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government on Friday transferred 14 IPS officers in the state. The Yogi-led government has replaced DMs of six districts, while DMs of Meerut, Deoria, and Rae Bareli have been removed and put on the waiting list.

As per reports, the reshuffles were in talks since the Uttar Pradesh elections. Now more than a dozen IAS officers have been deployed in the districts for better law and order. It is rumored that a long list of PPS officers is yet to arrive from the DGP headquarters.

New District Magistrates have been sent to Kanpur Dehat, Meerut, Sambhal, Siddharthnagar, Deoria, and Rae Bareli.

Earlier, the government made a big change late on Thursday night and transferred about a dozen IPS officers. IPS Vikas Vaidya has been appointed as Hathras and Atul Sharma has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chitrakoot.

Meanwhile, SP Hemant Kutial of Balrampur has been sent to Moradabad as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). Apart from this, Hathras Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal has been made the Police Captain of Amroha Police.
