Kerala’s new Namboodiri joke? Rahul Easwar’s misadventures hit peak farce
Amidst the controversy created by Congress leader Rahul Mamkootathil, a close friend of Rahul Gandhi, there is a silver lining in the vast clouds of despair, despondency, and dejection. Women are not safe when Rahul Mamkotathil is around, and he is a sexually perverted person, according to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Mamkootathil is on the run from the law-enforcing agency to avoid arrest and incarceration following complaints after complaints filed by the weaker sex who were sexually abused and tortured by the former.
No sensible person would come forward to help Rahul Mamkootathil, who is shunned by the women’s community in Kerala. But there is an exception, and it is Rahul Easwar, a member of the Sabarimala Thantri family. “I am a top-class Brahmin, a Brahmin who tops the list of hierarchy,” declared Easwar, who is the blue-eyed boy of Islamic terrorists in the state. Easwar is the link between Islamic extremists and the potential victims of Love Jihad. He is staging a protest from a cell in Poojappura Central Jail against the “victimization” of Mamkootathil by the state’s cops.
It was Rahul Easwar who helped Akhila, the homeopathic physician who is also the daughter of a Marxist leader, to elope with a jihadi Romeo. Akhila got converted to Islam, married the Muslim youth, and delivered his three kids before she fell out with him. Akhila is now Haadiya Beegum, and she married again to procreate two more kids.
Before she walked out of her house with the Muslim Romeo, many social activists, including K R Manoj of Arsha Vidya Samajam, had counselled her about the consequences and ramifications of getting converted to Islam. Since, as the proverb says, love has no eyes and ears, all the good words by these gurus fell on deaf ears, and Akhila eloped with the boy, but the parents managed to bring her back home from Sathya Sarani, an institution in Ponnai where religious conversion and indoctrination take place.
In a habeas corpus petition filed by her parents, the then Kerala High Court judge Surendra Mohan ruled that Akhila was a victim of Love Jihad and asked her to accompany her parents to their home. The next day saw thousands of Popular Front of India activists and leaders marching to the Kerala High Court, raising slogans against the court verdict and the judge Surendra Mohan, whom they described as a Sanghi (which means he is an RSS activist). But the jihadis were unaware of the fact that Suendra Mohan was a Christian, as his father had named him after the socialist leader of the 1960s and 970s!
It was Rahul Easwar who facilitated Akhila’s second elopement with the Jihadi Romeo. He had won the trust of her parents, making use of his identity as a member of the Thanthri clan. A past master in the game of double crossing, this Thantri youth had amassed wealth to the tune of crores of rupees by helping the Jihadis to unite with their victims. Despite all these allegations, Rahul Easwar manages to get into English TV news channels masquerading as a Hindu activist.
When Rahul Mamkootathil was accused of rape, kidnapping, and forced medical termination of pregnancy by two of his victims, Rahul Easwar was the only one who supported the Congress leader and alleged that the victims were acting as the henchmen of CPI(M) to destroy his political career. Easwar is campaigning for the rights of men to love anybody, impregnate the victims, and dump them after use. “I am for setting up a Men’s Rights Commission as I feel that in most cases men are the victims of women,” he had said in a panel discussion.
As part of his Save Mamkootathil Campaign, Easwar used his social media pages to humiliate the victims. He posted the name and other details of the victim, which made the police arrest him under the relevant sections of the BNS and BNSS. When arrested, he approached the court challenging the police action. Meanwhile, he filmed the police raid in his house to retrieve the laptop he used to upload the picture and messages on his social media police. In the video, he could be seen telling the viewers that he has removed the laptop to a secret place and the police would not get it at any cost. This too was uploaded by him on the social media page with a request to the followers not to reveal this to the cops!
When he was denied bail and sent to prison, he told the waiting reporters that he would undertake a fast unto death against the arrest and incarceration. By the end of the first day, Easwar, who is not familiar with the rough and tough life in jail, collapsed due to fatigue, and the cops took him to the hospital, where he was administered a drip. But the most interesting development was yet to be unfurled. His lawyer told the court that his client is an idiot and that he may be granted bail. The lawyer substantiated his statement with documentary evidence, including the messages Easwar posted on his social media page. The prosecution lawyer said he does not think Easwar was an idiot, as claimed by the defence lawyer, and hence he should not be given bail.
The court accepted the version of the prosecution and sent Easwar to jail. The hero who campaigned for saving Mamkootathil is incarcerated in Poojappura Central Jail, where he is cooling his heels waiting for the remand period to get over. Meanwhile, Rahul Mamkootathil has given a slip to the police and is absconding. The accused Mamkootathil is out roaming freely while the savior Easwar finds himself as an inmate of the Central Prison entertaining the wardens, jailor, and other residents with his intelligence and antecedents. Kerala is famous for its Namboodiri jokes, and soon we will get stories about the blunders committed by Easwar, a la Namboodiri jokes.
