In the case of Kejriwal and Kavitha, there is no relief
Tightening the evidences against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and BRS leader Kavitha, the key man Vijay Nair who handled kickbacks is going to be Approver in the Delhi Liquor Scam case. Vijay Nair, a close confidant of Kejriwal and AAP’s public relations man is the key person who handled the bribe transfer from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh-based liquor barons. Though he was not cooperating with CBI and ED in the initial stages, according to highly placed officials he toned down by various ailments during the 15-month life in prison.
Vijay Nair is currently on interim bail and will be in Mumbai from January for treatment and surgery for piles-related problems. Many AAP leaders also started doubting Vijay Nair after he was allowed by agencies to get treated in Mumbai for health problems, which are available in Delhi. The evidences against Kejriwal and Kavitha after being generated from Vijay Nair’s side and serious health ailments during prison life had forced him to give details of money trials to agencies.
Vijay Nair was the kingpin routing money from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to AAP leadership through his PR and Advertisement companies. Even a now-defunct TV channel was also used to route money to the Delhi Liqour Scam. India Ahead TV Channel’s Marketing head Arjun Pandey was named as Accused No: 15 in the FIR, related to the liquor scam.
Vijay Nair handled another Accused and liquor firm promoter Magunta Raghav Reddy, who now turned as Approver. Reddy father was the YSR Congress party’s MP and is now fielded as BJP’s ally TDP candidate. Mumbai-based Vijay Nair used to stay in the AAP Minister’s official residences whenever in Delhi.
The Special Court on Monday send Kejriwal into Judicial custody till April 15. The Enforcement Directorate told the Court, during interrogation, Kejriwal said that Vijay Nair is reporting to Minister Atishi and Saurab Bhardwaj and not to him. Many AAP and BRS leaders feel Vijay Nair is expected to turn as an Approver, reaching Delhi after medical treatments in Mumbai. If he turns an Approver, ED will not object to his bail and he will be released like another Accused turned Approver Magunta Raghav Reddy.
