Hare Krishna | Jai Gomatha | Grand celebration of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam
Sri Surabhi Go-Kshetra (cow sanctuary) is honored to invite you to participate in the grand celebration of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam (the marriage of Goddess Sita and Lord Rama). It will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the India Community Center (ICC) in Milpitas, CA, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Everyone who attends can perform the Kalyanam rituals and be blessed. We will also be bringing one of the cows for us to perform gau-puja (worship of cow). This is a unique opportunity and one that shouldn’t be missed![1]
This auspicious event is part of a fund-raising initiative for the Go-Kshetra to purchase a permanent plot of land for our family of cows in the East Bay. The 22 cows and bulls are currently at a temporary home. While well-fed and comfortable, they need more land to graze and bond. This aligns with the principles of natural and sustainable caretaking of cows.
All proceeds from this event will go towards the purchase of the land for the permanent home. We need to raise $1.9 million for this to happen. Please come and donate generously to this cause. Those of you who have visited and/ or volunteered at the gaushala (cow sanctuary) know how loving and affectionate the cows are. We are extremely fortunate to be able to serve them. And their subtle protection is always with us. When we take one step towards them, they take many more to help us in this life journey. It is a precious gift that we can return with our donations to give them a good home.

Donation of the land below ensures lifetime fodder for one cow. After her full and happy lifetime (approx. 20 years), another cow can use the land for grazing. So your donation ensures cow protection forever.
