Congress leader Rahul Gandhi often loses focus and makes contradicting demands. The latest demands the arrest of Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Meanwhile, Rahul and his party are objecting to the recent ED arrests of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. All these three chief ministers are part of Rahul Gandhi’s lead I.N.D.I.A block.

Though CPI(M) and Congress are allies at the national level but fight among themselves in Kerala. Rahul’s speech in Kerala for the arrest of Chief Minister Vijayan has not gone well with the Communists. CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat demanded the withdrawal of the demand by Rahul as both are protesting against the misuse of the ED by the ruling BJP.

Kerala Chief Minister’s daughter Veena is facing Income Tax, SFIO, and ED probe in accepting kickbacks from companies. During his speech in Kerala, Rahul alleged that BJP and CPI(M) are having an unholy alliance and that is why the Chief Minister and daughter have not yet been arrested by ED. Rahul made this speech, weeks before he criticized the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and Jharkhand Chief Minister by the same agency.

The interesting thing is that Rahul himself, along with his mother Sonia Gandhi is on the ED radar and questioned for five days by the agency in the National Herald scam. The previous year, Congress was laying road siege across the country and in front of the ED headquarters when Rahul and Sonia were questioned. The same Rahul is now demanding the same agency to arrest his national ally CPI(M)’s Chief Minister.

These things show that Rahul Gandhi lacks total political wisdom and never checks his speech items, provided by his coterie.
