Indian companies must take advantage of German Gmbh registration

[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]I[/dropcap]ndian companies and startups should set up shop in Germany to take advantage of its private limited (Gmbh) registration, said a German trade body official on Saturday. “Companies with Gmbh (Germany’s equivalent of India’s private limited registration for a firm) get wider acceptance across the world and get invited to bid for tenders by many countries,” said Wolfgang Holtgen, director, German Indian Business Center (GIBC), Hannover on the sidelines of the CeBIt summit here.

“Companies which were not allowed to bid for tenders by countries like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Spain and others were allowed to bid after obtaining Gmbh,” he added, calling on Indian companies and startups to make use of the Blue Card Scheme offered by his government to enter Germany.

“If a company comes with a German contract for Euro 37,400, their 90-day business visa can be converted into a two-year business visa under the Blue Card Scheme,” said Holtgen.

According to him, Germany currently needs a lot of software engineering talent.

“Germany needs nearly 80,000 to 1,00,000 software engineers, and Indian is the right place to tap that talent,” added Holtgen who setup a stall at CeBIT India 2015 to attract talent, companies and investment to Germany.

GIBC helped 10 Indian companies to establish operations in Germany in the past two years in the fields of IT, engineering, gearboxes, solid waste management and others.

The trade body organizes several road shows across India to promote Germany to attract investments and attract talent.
