Lies, lies and more damned lies, Dr. Roy!

Roy is deflecting attention from investigation into improprieties as a Promoter and making it appear as if Freedom of Speech is in danger

CBI Raid was aimed at Roy the promoter, not NDTV

[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]I[/dropcap]n your attempt to hide your criminal actions and blame the Government / CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) for muzzling free speech and media, you continue to lie in your statements. In your recent statement post the CBI First Information Report (FIR), you have stated that “CBI conducted searches on NDTV offices and residence of promoters without even conducting a PRELIMINARY ENQUIRY…”.

Law catches up with all crooks and now it’s your time. Kudos to CBI and other Govt. agencies under Prime Minister Modi who have systematically proceeded on this case.

It is you Dr Roy and NDTV that has hidden information from your shareholders and stock exchanges (BSE and NSE). Can you deny that your Group CEO was summoned by the CBI in March 2017 to seek explanations?

It is learnt that CBI and Economic Offenses Wing (EOW of Delhi Police) called the complainant (Sanjay Dutt, Quantum Securities) to their offices over 15-20 times (different dates) during the last 12 months and cross-examined him along with documents etc… Besides, the Investigators obtained documents and evidence from ICICI Bank and sought explanations from them. Not only this, they even got a submission & answers from Vishwapradhan Commercial P. Ltd. (the alleged bogus entity that now controls RRPR Holding Pvt. Ltd). Since August 2016, PGurus.com has been writing in-depth articles on the various illegalities of NDTV.

CBI also coordinated this preliminary probe with Income Tax Department and Enforcement Directorate to substantiate and prima facie check the veracity of the complaint and criminality. This shows the thoroughness of their approach. In addition, it is also learnt that they got ownership and other filing documents from Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for NDTV and its Promoters.

Readers will appreciate that all this does not happen in 24 hours (previous day Sambit Patra, BJP spokesperson was ill-treated by the channel) but all of the above has been painstaking done by CBI officials over several months.

So, Dr. Roy, its time you stop obfuscating and crying freedom of speech like a cry baby and instead uphold the Constitution of India and fight your case before the Court of law.

Law catches up with all crooks and now it’s your time. Kudos to CBI and other Govt. agencies under Prime Minister Modi who have systematically proceeded on this case.

To all the foreign publications that have written about Freedom of the Press being in peril, your content may have been lies peddled and planted in cocktail parties at Delhi’s Foreign Correspondents Club. CBI Raid was aimed at Roy the promoter, not NDTV. The least New York Times, Washington Post, BBC, The Guardian can do is:

  1. Read my book NDTV Frauds and look at the facts submitted on the various frauds of NDTV.

  2. Read a copy of the Press Statement put out by CBI, shown below.

  3. Publish this post verbatim in your site as an Op-Ed.

Here is a copy of the Press Statement issued by CBI:

  1. Best of luck with the foreign publications. They themselves have lost the pulse of their own nations, how can the objectively cover a country on the other side of the globe. They’ve probably sold their journalism souls to the almighty internet clicks, for monetization.
