RaGa invents “mediocre” Modi

Is Modi mediocre because he does not understand anything? How much does RaGa understand and know when he says something?

RaGa targets Modi again

A convicted criminal and expelled Member of Parliament, Rahul Gandhi (RaGa) has not mocked Modi the first time. This time, RaGa calls Modi a part of the group who actually does not understand anything and thus they all are mediocre.

In San Francisco, RaGa (un)wittingly said, “If you sat Modi ji next to God, Modi ji would start explaining to God how the universe works. And God would get confused that what have I created.” In that context, he said, “our Prime Minister (Modi) is one such specimen.” Describing such specimens, RaGa went on to say, “They can speak to scientists and explain science to them. They could sit next to historians and explain history to them…explain warfare to the Army, flying to the Air Force. At the heart of it is mediocrity, that they actually do not understand anything.” Not too surprisingly, his straight target was no other than Modi.

I ask the readers, how many people do they know who has the wisdom to sit next to God and talk to the invisible? As beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, likewise, I surmise that RaGa for once may have spoken the bitter truth when he conceived Modi sitting next to God. Only people with divine souls, believers in Sanatan Dharma, deep knowledge of religious scriptures, and devout “Bhagwan Bhakta” can see and talk with God. Modi is one such individual who has spent years in self-introspection and earned the wisdom, innate power, and meditative capacity to come face-to-face with God and talk with Him.

Modi may not be a scientist or historian academically but he is a lifelong learner with intense curiosity. I have followed his speeches numerous times, mostly extempore, and found him well informed as he ought to be as the global leader of New India. I surmise that Modi is briefed daily by his close advisors on various topics of national and global importance and he has a photographic memory. The only other person I have known a bit closer to having a photographic memory was Bill Clinton when I spent a year as a Fellow in the White House Office of Science and Technology.

RaGa, also known as “Pappu” in some circles, deserves many adjectives with his name. Calling anyone stupid is not my choice of words but on the lighter side, RaGa can easily be characterized as naive, brainless, insensitive, and/ or unintelligent for his statements, innuendos, and propensity for name-calling, especially, Modi.

Is Modi mediocre because he does not understand anything? How much does RaGa understand and know when he says something? Generally, RaGa, unlike mediocre Modi, has the tendency and tradition of speaking without thinking and not knowing the facts almost all the time. For example, in San Francisco, RaGa mocked Modi for offering Sashtang Pranam to the sacred Sengol at the New Parliament building[1]. The so-called intellectual Pappu chose to minimize its significance by calling it “lying down.” He went on to say to the audience, “Aren’t you happy I’m not lying down?” It is a pity how little he knows of the Hindu culture and Dharmic values. In fact, it is a disgrace that RaGa is beginning to project himself as a Hindu with Tilak on his forehead as India heads for the 2024 national elections.

Let us review another example of how little RaGa knows or understands India’s political history. RaGa started another controversy when he said, “What is happening to Muslims in India today, happened to Dalits in the 1980s.” How can he be excused from not knowing that her grandmother Indira Gandhi and father Rajiv Gandhi served as Prime Ministers from 1980 to 1989? It is not the first time that RaGa made absurd statements and found himself surrounded by controversies.

Was RaGa aware that his mention of the plight of Dalits in the 1980s may add fuel to the fire in chastising Hindus for perpetuating the caste system in the United States? As we author this article, the State of California is considering legislation, SB-403, – that will lead to racial profiling and targeting South Asians and especially people of Hindu and Indian origin. While the Coalition of Hindus of North America is actively engaged in a campaign against SB-403[2], RaGa’s comments, intended or unintended, show his total ignorance of the surroundings where he stood and made the statement.

Does RaGa understand/ know that ‘mediocrity thrives in an environment of indiscipline, sycophancy, laziness, and distrust?[3]’ It will be important for RaGa to understand how fitting is the above quote for him. Modi, on the other hand, represents excellence which is the biggest enemy of mediocrity.

Modi may be mediocre because his academic degrees are not from Harvard, JNU, or Oxford, or according to Kejriwal, Modi has no degrees at all. Modi may be mediocre because he is not a scientist and/ or technocrat by training. Nevertheless, Modi is an excellent leader, innovator, diplomat, politician, strategist, and technocrat with farsightedness regarding India’s growth and development. It is unparallel and unprecedented what India has achieved in the last 9 years.

I cannot blame a mother for wanting her son to be the next Prime Minister of India but the son, RaGa, dreaming of it is inexcusable and laughable. In all sincerity, I hope RaGa’s dream never comes true. RaGa may not even be able to contest in 2024 unless his conviction is reversed. Even if the court reverses the decision, the below-average RaGa stands no chance to win against Modi’s intellectual, social, and political excellence and people’s skills.
