DDCA President Rohan Jaitley at eyes of storm as another victim alleges sexual abuse, complaints to BCCI
Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s son Rohan Jaitley faces another allegation of sexual abuse. This time, the allegations of rape are leveled by a model who wanted to get an Emcee job (job as Master of Ceremonies to present functions) for IPL matches. The Bengali-origin lady filed a detailed complaint on July 19 to BCCI, headed by Jay Shah against Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) president Rohan Jaitley.
First complaint
PGurus is in possession of the complaint. In February 2023, Rohan Jaitley faced allegations of sexual abuse from another lady which also details his corrupt practices including bribery from cricket stadium contracts. She also complained to BCCI and no action was taken. The first complaint can be read here[1].
What exactly happened?
In the current complaint, the Mumbai-based Bengali-origin model alleges that Rohan Jaitley raped her in October 2022 at a hotel in South Mumbai. “I am a professional model based out of Mumbai. I got in touch with Rohan Jaitley, President of DDCA through a friend. I wanted to be an Emcee during the IPL and shared my interest in the same with him. In October 2022, he called me to a hotel in South Mumbai where he was staying and promised me to get the Emcee job for the IPL,” states the complaint filed to BCCI by the lady model. We are withholding her name, though she revealed her identity in her complaint to BCCI.
“Before the BCCI meeting, he assured me that he will speak to Mr. Jay Shah, BCCI Secretary regarding the same. He also told me that Mr. Jay Shah will definitely listen to him. I saw both of them talk from a distance. Post this, Rohan Jaitley called me to his room in the same hotel. On the pretext of getting me the Emcee post in IPL, he made physical advances and raped me. I was told to be quiet about the incident,” alleged the lady model in her complaint to BCCI.
She also accuses Rohan Jaitley offered her money to keep silent. “Rohan Jaitley kept in touch with me afterward as well and tried offering me money to stay silent, which I denied. Rohan Jaitley has also informed me multiple times about how powerful he is because of his high-level connection in the political and cricket circle. I chose to stay quiet for well and he tried offering me money to stay silent, which I denied. ……“
The model also alleged that Rohan Jaitley again offered her Emcee job in the next IPL season. “While I never got the Emcee job, Rohan Jaitley told me to stay in touch with him and promised me the job of an Emcee in the next IPL season…,” she said asking BCCI to remove Rohan Jaitley from DDCA for misusing and abusing his position.
“This should start with his removal from the position of the president of DDCA so that he doesn’t misuse his position of power further to ruin the life of any other female. Following this, he should be sent behind bars for good,” she said, offering BCCI to give more proof about Rohan Jaitley’s sexual abuse.
