Dr. Swamy debunks blatant lies of Opposition against TTD
BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Friday accused TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu, and JSP leader Pawan Kalyan of spreading lies and fake propaganda against Tirupati Temple administration to hurt the sentiments of Hindus. Addressing media here, Swamy said that both Opposition leaders telling blatant lies about the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) and its trust, Srivani Trust, and making false charges of swindling money to the State government headed by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“Naidu is politically isolated, failed, and trying to hurt Hindu sentiments by accusing that TTD and Jagan led government are supporting Christian conversion kind lies. Pawan Kalyani is also doing the same kind of malicious propaganda. I am appearing for TTD in a defamation case against Andhra Jyothi newspaper and they are facing criminal and civil cases. These leaders will also face the same fate,” said Swamy, charging Naidu and Kalyan for promoting religious enmity.
“Naidu must limit himself to political works. While associating with Sonia Gandhi in the last election, now he is pretending as the champion of Hindus. He must prove his allegations against TTD and its Srivani Trust or otherwise desist from fake propaganda,” said Swamy, talking to the media along with TTD’s counsel Satya Sabharwal.
Srivani Trust is formed by TTD a few years ago to route the money received for VIP Darshan by fixing Rs.10,500 from devotees As per the whitepaper issued by TTD, Rs.10,000 is used for rebuilding, and rehabilitation of old temples and temples in socially depressed areas. Srivani Trust was formed to avoid brokers making money for VIP darshan, a practice for ages in the temple. The allegation were raised that this money is taken to the State government by the Opposition leader.
“The allegations are that YSRCP leaders are looting the money collected under Srivani Trust and that incomplete/ wrong receipts are given. To prove that these allegations are wrong I am also planning a trip to Tirumala and getting Srivani Trust Darshan and accordingly show everyone how the receipt is not wrong and these allegations are made by TDP leaders particularly Chandra Babu Naidu and one Pawan Kalyan of JSP.
“I strongly believe that the defamatory statements are absolutely false, wrong, and are defamatory, and misconceived with respect to facts. Additionally, these statements are promoting enmity on the ground of religion and deliberately and maliciously acting/ creating and outraging the religious feelings of devotees of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
