Employees report multiple complaints; company initiates precautionary measures
Senior officials from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) conducted an unannounced visit to the company’s Nashik office this week as part of an internal investigation into alleged misconduct, according to sources familiar with the development.
The probe follows complaints raised by employees, including allegations related to workplace harassment and attempts at forced religious conversion. The matter was first reported by NDTV.
In response, TCS has constituted a special investigation committee to examine the claims and determine their validity. During the visit, senior officials questioned multiple employees and recorded their statements as part of the ongoing inquiry.
Sources indicated that additional complaints surfaced during the interactions, potentially widening the scope of the investigation. The emerging details have prompted the company to adopt precautionary measures while the probe continues.
To ensure a neutral and non-disruptive environment during the inquiry, TCS has directed around 120 employees at the Nashik facility to work from home starting Monday.
The internal committee is currently reviewing employee testimonies and related evidence. Further developments are expected as the investigation progresses.
