Waukesha Christmas Parade: Car rams into holiday parade in Wisconsin, US
In Waukesha, a city in the US state of Wisconsin, a person lurched his SUV through the Waukesha Christmas Parade injuring more than 20 people and some fatalities have also been reported.
The treasured rite turned into a scene of horror causing deadly mayhem. The incident took place on Sunday at around 4.30 p.m. in Waukesha, part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area.
The SUV broke through the barriers and sped into the roadway where the Christmas parade was taking place and struck more than 20 individuals, some of the individuals were children and there are some fatalities as a result of this incident.
Waukesha Police Chief Dan Thompson said, “We have a person of interest in custody at this moment.” Although he hasn’t provided any further details.
The videos and images of the incident have gone viral. A video captured the vehicle running through the crowd, hitting pedestrians, and accelerating throughout the route.

Police have shut down nearby streets and urged the public to avoid the downtown area.
The parade area has been evacuated, local media reported.
Waukesha is celebrating its 125th year with celebrations throughout the year. The parade is always one of the biggest events of the year in the city. The parade is the official kickoff to the holiday season in downtown Waukesha.
