Weaponizing Narcotics – An effective counter

Narcs (Narcotics) and Nukes (Nuclear weapons) are the weapons of choice in the arsenals of many modern nations. While Nukes are secured in impregnable vaults deep underground, and are practically of zero value, as nations are willing to manufacture them but afraid to use them, Narcs are of a different genre, they are silent destroyers of people, physically and mentally, hence, being offloaded in clandestine operations across land, sea and air, by nations, supported by faceless traffickers and terror organizations.

Narcs Applications

Narcs are finding extensive applications in destabilizing economies, destroying the calibre of young generations, financing terror organizations and operations, funding arms trafficking and human trafficking, spawning money laundering, and creating unprecedented health crises in many countries. Narcs are responsible for creating political, social, and economic plight for many countries. This strategy was successfully used by the British against China, which ultimately culminated in Opium Wars I and II. Subsequently, a doctrine evolved, known as the Cloward-Piven Strategy, that explained malevolent actions to bring about social collapse and disintegration of a country. The main steps of this strategy are aimed to overload the system, create mass panic and hysteria as the system gets overloaded, and oversee the destruction of the system. Using Narcs is the best strategy, to destroy any country, a technique which is common in the current era. The USA and many other Western nations are bearing the brunt of this strategy. India also is being targeted by a phalanx of nations, led by Pakistan. Narcs are an inevitable asset for aggressive nations, diabolical intelligence agencies, and vicious terror groups.

India at the receiving end

India has been subjected to aggressive bombardment by all kinds of Narcs like Ganja, Cannabis, Hashish, and synthetic drugs like Heroin, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, MDMA, LSD, and other deadly Psychotropic substances, that are inundating global markets every day. Leading the narcotics assault on India is its hostile neighbour Pakistan and its malevolent intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). In addition, the sinister ‘IDUKKI’ belt, linking the cities of Islamabad-Dubai-Kabul-Kandahar-Istanbul, which are hotspots linked to terrorist movements, narcotics trafficking, money laundering, and terror financing, has a deep impact on drug trafficking in India.

Drug seizures – A drop in the bucket?

Some major drug hauls busted by Indian agencies:

  • In February 2024, the Indian Navy and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized the highest quantity of drugs—3132 kg —offshore to date worth over Rs.1,000 crore and arrested five men suspected to be from Pakistan or Iran from a ship in the Indian waters off the Gujarat coast.
  • In May 2023, the Indian Navy and NCB seized around 2500 kg methamphetamine worth Rs.12,000 crores from a ship from Pakistan. The ship was intercepted in the Indian Ocean.
  • In February 2022, the Indian Navy and NCB recovered 221 kg of Methamphetamine from a ship off the Gujarat coast.
  • 200 kg of high-grade heroin was seized from a ship near the Kerala coast in October 2022.
  • In September 2021 the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) made a massive record seizure of 2,988 kg of heroin at Mundra Port in Gujarat. The consignment was sent from Iran’s Bandar-e Abbas Port.

The above are only illustrative of the massive quantities flooding the country incessantly. There would have been many consignments that evaded detection and are being circulated for the destruction of the youth physically and mentally. The government spends crores of rupees on various anti-drug measures to save the youth from the scourge of debilitating narcotics and psychotropic drugs. Strategies involving different Ministries are constantly being harnessed to address the problem and propose prevention and intervention measures, at great cost. One of the strategies commonly employed is making a bonfire of the drugs in public places, and giving it wide publicity. This method is employed by many countries also across the globe. But, India is facing an aggravated assault using drugs, by inimical countries, that are delivered by a handpicked illiterate crew of unknown nationality.

Floundering investigations

Most drug investigations flounder as they involve inquiries into different geographical jurisdictions, seeking assistance from uncooperative agencies judicial approval of legal systems that have different standards and yardsticks for assessing guilt, and complicated extradition procedures and formalities.

Instead of all the above circuitous and futile exertions, why not a drastically different approach? This writer proposes a novel concept of weaponizing these narcotic drugs, worth thousands of crores of Rupees. Why burn them, when it has amazing destructive potential? If these thousands of kilos of various kinds of destructive drugs can be converted into pellet forms of a few grams, in special factories, labelled in languages like Mandarin, Min, Wu, Yue, Jin, Punjabi, Pashto, Sindhi, Saraiki, Urdu, Balochi, Hindko, Pahari-Pothwari and Brahui, a ‘chill would crawl up the spine’ of our enemies (to borrow a famous phrase used by author James Hadley Chase). Bharat would have an amazing stockpile of an array of drugs, supplied free by inimical countries, plotting its destruction. The stockpile of drugs would be more potent than the unemployable nukes. Imagine a scenario of hundreds of drones and transport aircraft that would airdrop lakhs of drug pellets of Heroin, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, MDMA, and Synthetic Marijuana, on cities of enemy countries. Lakhs of people of all ages would be rioting on the streets, grabbing and storing drug pellets, for personal use or sale. It is a bonanza, a ‘manna from the heavens’. No government would be able to control the drug riots sweeping across their cities. Shades of the Opium Wars? In fact, an Opium War III would be in the making, as masses of people of all ages, float around like Zombies. It would be a drug crisis of unprecedented proportions.

How to solve this?

Is it not a better proposition than mindlessly burning drug consignments worth thousands of crores of rupees? Our enemies have sent these free gifts of drugs, intending it to be a Greek gift, by land, air, and sea. We have only returned the gift, by neatly packing them into tiny pellets of a few grams, and delivered them, without using even a microgram. Entire enemy populations would become delirious with drug-laced intoxication, and governments flummoxed and grapple with how to deal with a sudden health epidemic. In short, the gigantic drug consignments received for free, have been made into an awesome collection of drugs, waiting to be air-dropped, at short notice. This writer believes that such a move would prove to be an effective message and threat against rouge nations, attempting to flood the country with drugs, with a diabolical intent, to destroy our youth.

An interesting story about Lord Buddha is that he had to put up with regular doses of verbal abuse, on a daily basis, by a disgruntled man. As there was no reaction from Buddha, the perplexed man questioned him about his strange conduct. Buddha replied that these verbal abuses are gifts and that he did not need them. If the gift is not accepted, it remains with the giver only. Similarly, these drugs are unsolicited gifts from inimical neighbours, it is awaiting to be returned, neatly packed, and labelled!
