India fiercely rejects Pakistan’s “baseless” claims linking New Delhi to the Karachi Rangers attack, slamming Islamabad’s predictable terror hypocrisy
In a fierce takedown of Islamabad’s familiar playbook, India on Sunday completely demolished Pakistan‘s desperate attempt to link New Delhi to the recent terrorist attack in Karachi. Terming the allegations “baseless,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) exposed the claims as a pathetic attempt by Islamabad to deflect from its own compounding internal security collapses.
In a searing statement, New Delhi dismissed the accusations outright, reminding the world of Pakistan’s deep-rooted hypocrisy: lecturing others on terror while acting as a safe haven for global terror networks operating freely on its own soil.
“We have seen Pakistani reports making baseless allegations against India regarding the recent incident in Karachi. We categorically reject them,” MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal posted on X.
Taking a direct swipe at Pakistan’s state-sponsored infrastructure, Jaiswal added, “Instead of pointing fingers at others, Pakistan would do better to look inwards, take credible action against the terror infrastructure on its territory and rid itself of its proclivity to rely on terrorism as an instrument of state policy.”

Anatomy of a Deflection: Why Islamabad is Scapegoating India
The MEA’s aggressive retaliation comes on the heels of a massive security breach inside Pakistan. Over the weekend, heavily armed militants exposed the vulnerability of Pakistani security apparatuses by storming a Sindh Rangers compound right in the heart of Karachi.
The assault on the Bhittai Wing headquarters in Gulistan-e-Jauhar triggered an intense, 90-minute gun battle that left four Rangers personnel dead. While Pakistani authorities deployed Special Security Unit (SSU) commandos and the Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) to neutralize six attackers, the political establishment immediately turned to its favorite scapegoat—India—to hide its embarrassment.
The Irony: Attackers Identified as Pakistan’s Own Homegrown Terrorists
In a stunning display of self-contradiction, even as Pakistani officials tried to point fingers across the border, their own investigators identified the attackers as members of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar—a notorious faction explicitly tied to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The TTP openly claimed responsibility for the assault, which involved ramming a vehicle through the compound’s main gate and launching a barrage of grenades that tore through the complex. India’s response underscores the absolute absurdity of Pakistan’s stance: blaming New Delhi for an attack carried out, claimed, and orchestrated by a homegrown terror outfit that blossomed due to Islamabad’s own historic double-standards on terror.
A Capital of Chaos: Karachi’s Long History of Security Failures
This latest assault shatters a fragile period of calm in Karachi, marking the city’s first massive terror strike since October 2024, when a horrific suicide bombing near the Karachi airport claimed the lives of two Chinese engineers. It also mirrors the security failure of February 2023, when militants breached the heavily fortified Karachi Police Office.
As Karachi wrapped itself in lockdowns, sealed roads, and terrified residents staying indoors, New Delhi’s message remained crystal clear: until Pakistan stops using terror as state policy and dismantles its own Frankenstein’s monster, pointing fingers at India will do nothing to save it from its own internal rot.
