Recently I read a post on social media wherein an Indian writes that the Chinese in Hong Kong hate Indians because Indians as the soldiers of the British army visited atrocities upon them. They say that Indians, although themselves slaves, were so loyal to their enslavers that the enslavers were confident of recruiting them in their army.
I could find only one reference to the deployment of Indians in Hong Kong and yes, they took part in suppressing one rebellion by the Chinese. What they did to the Chinese in that action is not detailed in that reference.
But we have records of Indians obeying the British like Robots within India. Not as army units. Army units can be forgiven for fighting army units of Indian kings. But Indian constables did massacre fellow Indians when they were unarmed and were demonstrating against the British. Most famously, at Jalianwala Bagh.
There is a gang that believes that by placing India at the service of an Italian, they have become entitled to rule the rest of us. That they may be licking her sandals, but they are at least ruling the rest of us.
This tendency, that me, myself, mine can be and is different from the society around me continues to this day. That I can prosper even when society is collapsing around me, even by killing them, is a thought that still flourishes in our minds. That is why we can be so corrupt. So corrupt that we can demand a bribe to release a dead body, we can demand a bribe from an 85-year-old widow of our own late colleague to start her family pension after the demise of the colleague.
An animal can not imagine a world beyond himself: Food for himself, safety for himself, copulation for himself. Even when he is part of a herd, rare are the species in which herd fights as one. And such herds remain beyond harm.
For all the bombast, man is just another animal. The Conscious Revolution taught man that together they can accomplish tasks which they alone can not. Together they can kill animals much stronger than them. Together they can face savages on two legs, together they can create what alone they can not.
But The Conscious Revolution was just a thought, software in our brains. And like all software, it can get corrupted, it can get erased. And it can be overwritten by a worse software.
In our case, that seems to have happened. Thought leaders of society take care of such matters. They are the firewalls of the society, they are the programmers who continuously upgrade the software.
Being Homo Sapiens is magical. It is spectacular. It is just not only flying around the world but even travelling to the Moon.
But in the case of Hindus, the thought leaders themselves have the corrupted software. They themselves are busy writing that, they are different and better than fellow Hindus. Each caste is busy declaring that even among the slaves, it was in the top tier. It actually ruled the rest of the slaves or was better than them in any case, and with the departure of Master Slavers in 1947, it has become the New Master or at least should be. Each caste believes that it can prosper separate from the rest of the Hindus, it can prosper even by hollowing out the country. Then there are sub-castes even within castes who in turn believe exactly the same about the rest of its own caste. Some are busy declaring that they are not Hindus, and so though they were slaves, they were actually not slaves, because they are not Hindus.
There is a gang that believes that by placing India at the service of an Italian, they have become entitled to rule the rest of us. That they may be licking her sandals, but they are at least ruling the rest of us. An ex-Cabinet Minister genuflects before Pakistanis, insults India, but somehow thinks that he is above India and therefore is not insulting himself also in the process.
Ok, do not be depressed. Be the thought leader yourself. Be the Hindu you wish every Hindu to be. And see the world transform before your eyes. Being Homo Sapiens requires being one with the society, its inseparable part, living and dying with it. But being Homo Sapiens is also the only natural course open to a living organism born in the species Homo Sapiens. And yes, being Homo Sapiens is magical. It is spectacular. It is just not only flying around the world but even travelling to the Moon.
Be worthy of the two legs, not four.
