
Tensions set to rise, India set to avenge the barbaric attack by BAT
[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]S[/dropcap]immering tensions between two nuclear neighbours are set to rise further after a Border Action Team (BAT) backed by Pakistan army late Friday evening mutilated body of an Indian soldier after killing him in a firefight near the line of control in Machhal sector of North Kashmir’s frontier Kupwara district.

A senior officer of the Udhampur based Northern Command headquarters while confirming the mutilation of Indian soldiers dead body said, “In an encounter close to the Line of Control in Machhal Sector, in the evening of 28th Oct 16, one soldier has been martyred and one terrorist killed. In a despicable act, the terrorist mutilated the body of the Indian Army Soldier before fleeing into POK, supported by covering fire from Pak Army posts”.
The senior army officer said this barbarism is a true reflection which pervades official and non-official organisation across the border. This act will invite an appropriate response, the army officer said.
After the India carried out the surgical strike inside Pakistan Occupied Kashmir on September 28 more than 60 incidents of ceasefire violations have been reported.
On Friday as the cross border firing intensified along the International border and the line of control across 9 sectors of Jammu frontier two more civilians lost their lives in the Chamb and Mendhar sector of Jammu province.
Earlier in the day Additional Director General, Border Security Force (BSF) Arun Kumar said in the last one week Indian border guards have killed at least 15 Pakistani soldiers in retaliatory firing.

ADG, BSF also claimed the intense shelling from the Pak side gives a fair idea that Pak army regulars have taken position behind Pak rangers and targeting civilian pockets to inflict maximum damage on the Indian side.
He said BSF is giving them a befitting reply and would continue to do so if they would try and provoke us.
Exactly a week ago, seven Pakistani soldiers were killed along the International Border by the BSF.
Pakistan violated the ceasefire all of Thursday and Friday morning in, Poonch, Rajouri, Hira Nagar, Samba, Abdullian and RS Pura, officials said.
Heavy shelling from Pakistan began around 5 am along the Line of Control in Nowshera, Sundarbani and Pallanwala districts and continued intermittently throughout the night.
On Thursday a BSF soldier Jitender Singh, 46, hailing from Motihari district of Bihar was martyred when Pakistani Rangers fired a mortar shell in RS Pura sector. He was given a ceremonial farewell in Jammu on Friday at BSF frontier headquarters in Paloura.
