R V S Mani on the lack of consistency in judgments and the causes for it, using two similar cases

In a span of two years, two judgments were delivered where the inputs were more or less the same yet the judgments that came down were exactly opposite. This lack of consistency and the reasons for this is discussed with former MHA official R V S Mani.

  1. It is time to adopt high level psychometric tests for all recruitments to Government / Judicial jobs. The psychometric tests should be specifically designed so that only candidates with desired attributes are selected.

Also time to revamp the Government terms of service and make it easier for Government to sack the corrupt and non performing staff. Time to change the jobs into 5 year contract / tenure based.
