Even after the historic Ayodhya case verdict, the unabashed Left and Pseudo-Secular elements continue to argue that there was no proof of Babri Masjid having been built over the destroyed temple. One can understand why – their oxygen is being sucked out and the intellectual bankruptcy of their ideology and minority pandering stands completely exposed. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Report to Allahabad High Court in 2003 after excavation clearly says that Masjid was built after destroying a temple. The very last page – Page No: 272 – clearly sums up that the fact that the ASI team found remains of a temple in their High Court-monitored excavation in 2003.
In its last paragraph, the ASI Report clearly says that there was a “massive temple” structure below the Babri Masjid which was demolished in 1992 by Kar Sevaks of the Sangh Parivar. The Report which is submitted to Allahabad High Court and now with the Supreme Court says that the temple structures date back to the tenth century. The Report details the finding of more than 50 pillars with Hindu scriptures, Hindu religious divine couples, lotus motif, etc. In its last line, the ASI Report categorically states that “fifty pillar bases in the association of the huge structure, are indicative of remains which are distinctive features found associated with the temples of north India.”
The very last paragraph of the ASI report is reproduced as follows:
“The Hon’ble High Court, in order to get sufficient archaeological evidence on the issue involved “whether there was any temple/structure which was demolished and mosque was constructed on the disputed site” as stated on page 1 and further on page 5 of their order dated 5 march 2003, had given directions to the Archaeological Survey of India to excavate at the disputed site where the GPR Survey has suggested evidence of anomalies which could be structure, pillars, foundation walls, slab flooring etc, which could be confirmed by excavation. Now, viewing in totality and taking into account the archaeological evidence of a massive structure just below the disputed structure and evidence of continuity in structural phases from the tenth century onwards up to the construction of the disputed structure along with the yield of stone and decorated bricks as well as mutilated sculpture of divine couple and carved architectural members including foliage patterns, amalaka, kapotapali doorjamb with semi-circular pilaster, broken octagonal shaft of black schist pillar, lotus motif, circular shrine having pranala (waterchute) in the north, fifty pillar bases in association of the huge structure, are indicative of remains which are distinctive features found associated with the temples of north India.,” said the last paragraph of the Page 272 of the ASI Report which clearly stated that Babri Masjid was constructed by destroying a Hindu Temple.

Court that Babri Masjid was built by destroying a massive Temple in Ayodhya – PGurus < Liked it!

Thank you PGurus for your article which looks to me like an Oasis in a desert. After SC verdict on Ayodhya, find hundreds of articles in News Paper,Social Media etc & many of articles refer only existence of Masjid but do not write or talk on ASI findings on pre-existence of temple below Masjid for their own narrative. Thank you PGurus team.
India’s majority of Left embedded academic people blatantly lied on ASI Report. Main crook was CPI, CPM and D(H)istorian Irfan Habib, Ram Guha, Romila Thapar and many Journalists. ASI Report clearly said in 2003 (Remember in 2003) that Masjid was built above a Temple of 10th century
Team PGurus: They have changed tack from questioning the construction of Masjid on non-Islamic structure (because it was mentioned in the SC verdict) to latch on to what SC said about its inability to infer for certain that the underlying structure was demolished or subjected to natural ruination. Moreover, the SC appears to have tried to not get involved in this mess (for the sake of peace) by not claiming that structure to be a temple; the pseudo-seculars have not shown this magnanimity and have latched onto this statement by SC to further their agenda and now have started attacking the SC unable to accept acceptance of the verdict by the Indian Public.
Well said. SC also said that their verdict is purely based on ASI report. So, what ASI report says should be published and everyone must read it.
