How Modi demolish the Dravidian concept
Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s concept “Kashi Tamil Sangamam” is an innovative program that coordinates Tamil and Hindi, and Tamilians with North Indians.
The BJP wants to imbibe nationalism in the “Dravidian” logic of Tamil Nadu. Modi, with the strong connection of his monthly broadcast of ‘Maan Khi Baat’ in 2023, reinforced Kashi Tamil Sangamam as an annual celebration in Varanasi. This cultural integration between Kashi and Tamilians has gone deep into the psyche of the Dravidian movement.
The Kashi Tamil Sangamam event will last for fifteen days and includes:
- Cultural events.
- Reading of epics.
- Seminars.
- Visit to few temples in Uttar Pradesh.

There is an ulterior deep political reason for Kashi Tamil Sangamam.
The “Trimurti” – Modi, Yogi, and Amit have quietly decided to bring a new policy like “370 abrogations in Jammu and Kashmir“ as the BJP came back to power with a thumping majority for the second term. Now in 2024 after BJP’s possible third term hat-trick to squeeze out Dravidian ideology for separate statehood.
These three leaders have been silently working on a change in the name of Hyderabad as Bhagyalaxmi Nagar and decorating Tamil hero MGR by naming Chennai Central railway station after him.
In short, the BJP and Modi-Amit Shah duo have understood that the Dravidian concept is fading away fast.
There is a political reason for this Kashi Tamil outreach. With Telangana’s victory by Congress, it is now time for BJP to push the ‘Look South’ policy. A few leaders tweeted that Congress is for the South and BJP is for the North. Interestingly Modi has smashed that theory.
Kashi Tamil Sangamam celebrates India’s cultural diversity and strengthens the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’. The poetic connection between the two geographies is reflected in the statue of Saint-Poet Thiruvalluvar at Kedar Ghat.
At the Kashi Tamil Sangamam delegates from Tamil Nadu experienced the vibrant cultural symphony of Varanasi. Enthralling performances narrated the timeless story of shared cultures, casting a spell on the holy city along the banks of the Ganga.
On behalf of the people of Tamil Nadu and the state unit of BJP, Annamalai stated that the entire Tamil Nadu thanks our Hon Prime Minister Narendra Modi for releasing Thirukkural in 16 translated versions – 10 Indian languages, 5 foreign languages and in Braille script for the benefit of the differently abled at the #KashiTamilSangamam to version event in Varanasi.
Our beloved PM has time and again expressed his love & respect for our Tamil language by releasing Thirukkural in 13 languages last year & 16 translated versions this year. In addition, our PM has added laurels to our Tamil language by releasing translated versions of 46 Tamil grammar texts, Sangam literature, and classical Tamil texts, including Manimekalai.
Central Institute of Classical Tamil carried out this extensive work with the support of the Union govt and also Yogi Adityanath.
PM Modi consistently honoured our revered Tamil language and its rich heritage in the National and international arena.
Breaking barriers so every citizen of our nation benefits from our Central government’s social welfare programs has been our PM Narendra Modi’s priority.
Our Hon PM, on the inaugural event of #KashiTamilSangamam, tried real-time translation using Artificial Intelligence.
It was a thrilling experience for Tamil students to have had the opportunity to listen to our Hon PM’s speech in Tamil in real-time, by way of artificial intelligence.
We are proud that our Narendra Modi tested this Artificial Technology moderation in Tamil Language for the first time.
This technology will ensure that our Hon PM’s vision for the Nation breaks barriers & reaches the last mile without human intervention.
Kashi Tamil Sangamam celebrates our vivid culture and deep-rooted bonds. It furthers the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat‘. India’s identity is rooted in spiritual beliefs. Several saints, through their journeys, kindled a spirit of national consciousness.
