Let me indulge you in the history and explain why Kashmiri Pandits and Dogras of J&K are always at war with Abdullah Family.

Omar Abdullah heckled by Kashmiri-American protesters at the University Of Berkeley in the United States Of America on 19th April. A woman protester called Omar and his father Farooq Abdullah as “War criminal”, stating that they would take him to the International Court of Justice. When Abdullah confronted one of the protesters saying he is not Kashmiri, he shot back and said he was from Gujwara old city Srinagar. One of them, a Kashmiri Pandit, said, “You talk to me in Kashmiri, I speak better Kashmiri.” To which Omar Abdullah replied, “You all ran away.” The youth gave a stern reply to Omar, “You forced us out.”

An online campaign termed Omar as not the “real” representative of Kashmir.  “Berkeley is wilfully providing a platform to Mr. Omar Abdullah and allowing him to masquerade as the representative of the people of the occupied Kashmir, which he is clearly not,” reads the document.

Let me indulge in the history and explain you why Kashmiri Pandits and Dogras of J&K are always at war with Abdullah Family.

Why 1953 is an important year in Indian history? That was the year when Sheikh Abdullah, founder of National Conference and father of Farooq Abdullah, had indulged in anti-National activities.

“They (Centre and BJP) are talking about raising the flag in PoK. I ask them to go and raise the Tricolour at Lal Chowk in Srinagar.”

Sheikh Abdullah had started the “permit” system for entering into J&K state and it was like a Passport to enter into another country called J&K in 1953. He started “Two-Nation” theory in 1953 which his son, Farooq, and grandson, Omar, are still promulgating in their speeches without any hesitation.  In opposition to this, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, a predecessor to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) , once said “Ek Desh Mein Do Vidhan, Do Pradhan Aur Do Nishan Nahi Chalenge” (A single country can’t have two constitutions, two prime ministers, and two national emblems). Mukherjee went on hunger strike against Sheikh Abdullah’s perfidy and he tried to enter J&K without the permit. He was arrested on 11 May 1953 and was taken to Srinagar Jail. In the same year on 23rd June he died in the jail due to a heart attack under mysterious circumstances.

8 August, 1953 Sheikh Abdullah was dismissed as “Prime Minister” of India by Maharaja Hari Singh (Sadr-i-Riyasat, Constitutional head of J&K state) and put him in the Jail. He was in the jail for 11 years from 1953 to 1964. This was the short summary of Sheikh Abdullah’s perfidy, betrayal and treachery against India.

Now his legacy of “Two-Nation” theory has been carried forward by none other than his son Farooq Abdullah. Recently he said, “POK Inke (India) Baap Ka Hissa Nahi Hai”. Not only this the very next day he said “They (Pakistan) are not weak and are not wearing bangles. They too have atom bomb”. If anyone listens/reads his speech, one could easily say that these are words of Pakistan Defence Minister and not that of an Indian MP. Farooq didn’t stop here, he challenged India to hoist the Tricolor at Lal Chowk (a place in the heart of Srinagar).

There has been a miscarriage of Article 370 by Farooq to have the financial benefit not for the state but for himself.

“They (Centre and BJP) are talking about raising the flag in PoK. I ask them to go and raise the Tricolour at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. They cannot even do that and they are talking about PoK.” Again these were the words of Farooq Abdullah and not of Defence Minister of Pakistan. This is not good news for India but definitely for Pakistan. It will surely bolster the confidence of Terrorists, Separatists and others who are indulging in anti-India activities.

Farooq Abdullah has not only been passing these statements but he had released 70 hardcore Terrorists in July 1989. Mohammad Afzal Sheikh went to Kachi Ghari (Peshawar) for training. Rafiq Ahmed went to Pakistan after crossing the border clandestinely on August 22, 1988 via Leepa. He was given training in the handling of arms and explosives to create Punjab-like conditions in J&K. On return, he blasted a number of bombs in the valley. But Farooq Abdullah exalted terrorists by releasing them instead of taking strong actions against them.Their detentions were confirmed by the Advisory Board headed by the Chief Justice of J&K high court, and yet he was released in July 1989 by the Farooq government. Now you could imagine the support to terrorists from the state government. (An excerpt from Jagmohan’s -Ex-Governor of J&K – Book: My frozen turbulence in Kashmir).

There has been a miscarriage of Article 370 by Farooq to have the financial benefit not for the state but for himself. Jagmohan formally canceled the order (March 1990) allotting of 74 plots that were allotted by Farooq Abdullah in a most arbitrary & irregular manner. Kashmiris & Jammu-ite were happy and lauded Jagmohan’s effort. There are many other examples to show how politicians used the Article 370 for their own personal gain at the expense of the state. You can read here.

The kind of work and speeches that Farooq is indulging which are full of propaganda are inculcating a rush of crashing happiness inside his nerves. But this type of imbecile vision makes Abdullah’s family look like a lump in the eyes of the people of their own countrymen.
